The Lost Decade

While my posting has been light to non-existent as of late, I should point out that February marks my 10th anniversary for blogging. I was 26-years-old when I sent out my very first blog post, back then on Blogger.

Ten years of blogging, and what a ride it's been. It's been at different times a fun writing exercise/distraction, a modest money-making venture, and a crucial sanity saver during one of the darkest chapters of my life.

So, yeah, I think it's been worth it.

Congratulations on ten years of spilling out words, Mr. Rhodes.

Man, I'm completely out of the blogging game. I don't know what made you and 'Joshua Norton' (from Strip Mining for Whimsy) pop into my head, but I just figured I'd see if either of you were still writing. Josh seems to have disappeared, but it's good to see you're still kicking it.

I did disappear, but I still keep an eye on Ryan.

A web search for 'strip mining for whimsy' brought me here. Long story short: I'm trying to paste together what remains of the old Plain Layne blog entries, and the community at the time, using the scraps that remain in the ether... I caught the tail end of everything 8 years ago, never was a part of the community of writers/bloggers who lived in that comment box, ;) but for some unknown reason, remembered the whole thing recently and started to look for history. Joshua, David, Ryan, do you know if there are any legit archives of the "event"? Do you guys have any thoughts on the whole thing, eight years removed? Any hope of anyone seeing his who was there, then...?
