Commenting Assistance

The comment engine over at Shot In The Dark is not functioning correctly. Thankfully, the good people at Koolaid Report are lending a hand.

Dude, I went over there to see if I could figure out what the problem with Mitch's comments was and found a fake one supposedly from me referencing an argument I had with Mitch a couple of months ago. Not that I care very much. Mitch has done relatively little to mitigate my low opinion of him or his commenters, but it still seemed a little weird that someone would go back that far to pick a fight.

It wasn't you, was it?

I saw the comment, but no, it wasn't me. Which argument were they picking on, by the way? I don't remember you being at SitD in a looooonnggg time.

I pretty much stopped going there a while back. Honestly, I'm still a little mystified about why you go there, but your weird conservative friends have always been a mystery to me.

Anyway, the argument was at this post, where this cunt AK called me a "liberal jagoff" while I was arguing with Mitch and I responded:

But seriously, AK, does it ever occur to you to give poor Mitch a reach-around when you're burrowing up his ass? He sounds like he could use it and, frankly, coming up for air every so often might do you some good too.

Because if there's one thing that annoys me more than Mitch's weird reality-cutout-switch it's the little waterhead conservative toadies who like to jump around in his comments section writing shit like, "What did you expect from the liberal moonbats!"

Mitch then fell back on his old refrain about how "scatology" somehow invalidates all my other points and how much classier he is, at which time I got bored and left. Again.

Only to have the comment pop up again two and a half months later.

And why was I messing around trying to get Mitch's comments working again? I have no idea. I just do stuff like that. Must be yet another byproduct of my low breeding.

I consider Mitch a friend; not a close friend, but I've met him a couple of times and he's a genuinely friendly, gregarious guy (personality characteristics that are almost impossible to radiate in writing). As for his blog, I get a kick out of the back and forth between commenters like AngryClown and Kermit.
