Why is Jonbenet Ramsey now the poster child for a walk against diabetes?
Yes, I'm going to hell, but we already knew that, didn't we?

Posted by: Keith at January 17, 2006 12:43 PMJon Benet had much better airbrushing done on her photos.
Posted by: Johnny Huh? at January 17, 2006 01:24 PMThat child does not have nearly enough makeup on her face and actually could be mistaken for a kid. She can't possibly be compared to Jon Benet.
Posted by: Mandy at January 17, 2006 01:52 PMWell, her parents probably own the rights to her image. There's probably no legal reason they couldn't let people continue to use it for their ad campaigns, for a reasonable fee of course....

Posted by: Ryan at January 18, 2006 09:16 AMThanks Ryan, that clears it up nicely. I remember this story breaking while I was still in the UK, and from fuzzy memory they strongly implied that the parents did it. It's sad, but it's also a potent illustration of everything that's wrong with contemporary journalism.
Oh yes, and you're going to hell. Die-of-beatings?
