Sin Stacking

From today's Rochester Post-Bulletin (you need a username and password) we get this amazingly horrifying lead paragraph. Keep in mind, Winona is the town where I graduated from college:

WINONA -- Bail has been set at $20 million for a 22-year-old man accused of strangling his pregnant girlfriend to keep her from going to authorities about his alleged drug-dealing, then raping and strangling her 10-year-old daughter before setting their apartment on fire in mid-December....

The full story, free of charge, can be read here. Gawd.

Of course. It was so obvious, I didn't think it needed to be mentioned.

Wow! I guess he didn't the memo about Minnesota "Nice", huh?

Um yeah, to the people who say there is no need for a death penalty? I would submit this case as an very loud call for capital punishment. This excuse for a man doesn't deserve to keep breathing. Sorry but he's scum and he deserves to die for his crimes.

No argument from me, Johnny. He should be fried in the chair, brought back to life, and fried again. The fact this happened in Winona, which isn't exactly a bustling metropolis, really gets me.
