Just say no

The hospital just called. Apparently, Zoey spent the whole night and morning removing her CPAP, so they're switching to a forced air cannula because they're tired of putting the damned CPAP back in her nose. The girl doesn't like crap up her nose, which is good, because it nips the whole cocaine use thing in the bud before she's even out of her incubator.

Way to go Zoey....I should have had Nathan call her and tell her that was the only way to get things done in that joint....hopefully she doesn't go for the IV next like he did!

Incidentally, don't be surprised if you eventually make friends with your own C-PAP. Fred and I both have 'em due to sleep disorders. Of the "stop breathing" variety.

Do you snore loudly? Get ready for a sleep study eventually.

I think when my son was in the NICU, the point in time when he insisted on ripping that thing out of his nose and his oxygen levels stayed nicely in the 90s was one of the happiest days of my life. He's now nearing his first birthday, and is a stubborn little tiger. Prayers for you. It does get better...
