The good news? Baby boy is healthy in the womb, with a strong heartbeat. The iffy news? Baby boy is not facing the right direction; his head is up under Mom's ribs, rather than facing the eventual, preferred exit. Not a hugely worrying problem, but something that has to be corrected before the due date.
Birth classes start next Tuesday. As Navin Johnson said in "The Jerk:" "Things are going to start happening to me now!"
Hopefully that doesn't mean a sniper with a gripe against cans is about to go postal on me.

If he does turn before then though, she'll need to walk as much as possible to spread and thin everything, which is why I had a csection, she turned but not soon enough to get it all ready.
It will all be good either way....but get the drugs. Trust me on this, better living through chemistry.
See if they'll get some drugs for you as well. I was a nervous wreck the first time around. So bad I could barely work the video camera and the digital camera. Barely but it all worked out. Be prepared for the nastiness immediately upon birth. We are told that birth is a beautiful process but it is, in reality, incredibly hardcore, like starring in one of those open surgery shows. I kept my head down until they called me over to the table to assist in the baby cleaning up and avoided even glancing back at the icky side of the curtain (my wife's upper body was on one side, the icky bloody stuff was on the other!).
Either way, the home stretch is almost upon you. Savor whatever extra sleep you can get now!
