Here's something that made last week rather surreal. I was walking through the Circus Circus resort in Las Vegas, and I happened to walk by an Internet terminal.
The person using the terminal at that moment was on MY HOME PAGE.
Too weird.

Posted by: Erik at December 26, 2008 12:02 PMI seriously had a "okay, is this chick stalking me" moment when I saw it, but I eventually just chalked it up to her doing some sort of Google search on "dirty mushroom" or something. It was definitely a bizarre moment in time though.

i would not have been able to just keep walking. i would have at least gone up and said "hey, whatchya lookin at there?" to try to determine why.
Yeah, that would be where your extroverted personality would trump my introverted one. By not approaching the woman, I didn't risk escalating an already bizarre moment. Knowing my luck, I would have said something to her, and she would have responded in a Rod Serling voice, and then I would have found myself on an airplane being torn apart by a gremlin.
So you see. . . it's just best that I walked on by.

Posted by: Autumn at January 1, 2009 07:58 PMWe were too busy losing money, Autumn. I didn't want to distract any of us from that.
