I really don't understand the whole "electronic eye" component of urinals and regular toilets. I mean, sure, I guess they're nice from a hygiene perspective, but it wasn't as if people were keeling over left and right from diseases picked up due to pulling a toilet handle.

Posted by: Bike Bubba at August 27, 2008 10:44 AMActually, I think it's more along the lines of "those pigs won't flush and the bathroom reeks because of it."
I remember finding a large hairy kielbasa floating in a toilet bowl when I was a dorm resident in 1980. It was one of those OMG moments that was burned into my naive little mind. Had there been auto-flush toilets, said giant sausage would have been properly flushed away.
Or maybe not. It was impressively big.
