A Serious Case of the "Mehs"

I don't know what it is about this time of the year, but it just makes me look at my ThunderJournal and think "I got nothin'." And the thing is, I'm pretty indifferent to having nothin'. I wonder if this is the case for other ThunderJournalists who have been at this craft for years and can recognize such cycles in their own creative processes.

I've also noted a general decline in ThunderJournal readership this time of year, with an uptick beginning again come December. I think writers and readers alike just kind of push away from the table for awhile, too full to eat another bite, and sit back to digest and take a nap.

Point is, I don't have much to say right now, and I don't particularly care; but I'll be back in prolific form at some point--the cycle dictates as much.

Well, I'm not a ThunderJournalist but I get the same case of the Meh's too. Not that there isn't a shitload of stuff going on, just that I don't feel like whining about it on my Blahg.

By the way, I have a feeling your boy, Tommy Speer, is going to fight on TUF tonight. I didn't know his nickname was "Farmboy". He is supposed to be one of the better fighters this season so I'm looking forward to it!

Thanks for the heads up, Erik. I'll have to watch. I hope he does well; he has further UFC hopes and has been training like a madman at the gym lately. Obviously, he can't talk to anyone about how the The Ultimate Fighter turned out, but his gym workouts seem to indicate something positive for him.

Your silent blog partner is out of town. You get the Mehs. Coincidence?

Hmmmmmm. That's quite possible.

Now, get back to work, yo.

nonetheless, your ThunderJournal appeared in my dream the other night. i have no idea the exact context, such as dreams can be, but i was perhaps in a bookstore or a doctor's office or somewhere perusing a collection of 'zines - the self-published, xerox-stapled kind - one of which was written by a woman and there were pictures of flowers on the cover, and it was clearly titled "ThunderJournal", and there were several issues/volumes. i wondered, in my dream, if you knew about this.

Ryan, seeing as you don't have much to write about, maybe you could research something I've wondered about for a long time: Was Mr. Rogers really a niper in Nam? Actually, that's something you probably just know.

That's supposed to say "Sniper".

Autumn, no he wasn't. That's just Internet rumor. Check Snopes.com.

Dang, no Farmboy fight this week. But the fight that did take place was a pretty good one even if the judges totally cheesed the card all the hell and it should have gone to a third round tie breaker.

He will fight soon though, this next week or the week after!

I'd love to hear what he thought of Matt Hughes as a coach and as a person because he comes off like a complete prick.
