Unexpected

You wouldn't think digging a 23 ft. x 13 ft. indentation, by hand, into your yard in preparation for an eventual concrete pour would be all that labor intensive, but you would be dead-assed wrong.

Honest to God, after five hours, two truckloads of dirt filled and unloaded, I'm still not even halfway done with the excavation alone. This project is a complete and total bitch.

There's a reason people hire this kind of crap done.

Oh, and hey, if any of you reading this happen to live in the area, I have about two more truckloads of dirt I'm willing to give away, free of charge.

What'll really suck is when the night guards come along and make you fill in the hole.

Excavating for a patio can be trickier than wiping your ass with a cat.

Landscaping is a bitch huh? I assume you are excavating for a patio or some kind of concrete to be poured, yes? I did two 8x10 slabs for porches, and 23 tons of pea gravel in another part of the yard. By hand, with a shovel..
Totally unrelated, have you read, or seen the movie night listener? Robin Williams in the movie, about a writer who gets a manuscript written by supposedly a kid who is dying of AIDs, it is sooo Plain Layne all over again, and a true story, that happened to the guy who wrote the book. Steven King also sent letters to the kid, and several other writers. Some weird shit there.
Tip for yard work, wear gloves. LOL.

It's a driveway extension, actually, but it keeps morphing into other things, depending on Melissa's "vision." Right now, it's a combination driveway/patio/alien spacecraft landing zone, I think. Whatever it is, it's a lot of fucking digging.

Dude, you didn't have to go to all that trouble for UFO's, they fly over here, (NM) all the time and crash out of sheer boredom. Think Nazca lines.
