That had to be a staged fight. That big guy had no game. His stance was pitiful, he had no muscle tone, no combos, and his guard was a fucking embarrassment. Spaghetti-armed motherfucker was lucky to get out of the ring alive.

Which is why I think it was staged. The old guy could just as easily have beaten his opponent to death if they hadn't arranged something ahead of time.

Sylvia (the big guy) has been criticized in the past for basically relying on his size and not having much of an overall game. I suspect his lack of conditioning stems from his over-reliance on his size.

More's the irony of course, because he didn't seem to know how to use his size either. Like he was relying on his reach, but his stance was so weak he couldn't deliver a decent body check, so the older guy kept forcing him to retreat. He should've been able to control the engagement by shoving forward and using his elbows, but he kept leaning way back to try and stay clear of the older guy's hits, weakening his stance and taking all the power out of his punches.

People who're afraid to get hit shouldn't fight professionally. They're bad at it.

Sounds to me, Joshua, you're ready for the UFC. No asps allowed. I think you'd be an ideal fighter. Fans love a good life story, and your's is tops. Think about it.

I think we both know the answer to that question, Mister "HWP, likes to be punished".

I don't think it was staged but I do think Sylvia didn't take Couture seriously enough. Couture may be an older fighter but he's still very, very good.

I expect Sylvia will come back for the rematch in much better condition and much better prepared for a fight.

I'd like to see the full fight though (and without that annoying soundtrack).
