I would be amazed for him not to continue on in GOP politics, though. Everybody loses an election sometimes, and this seems to be an instance where no amount of stragetizing could counteract public sentiment.
Bear in mind I pretty much hate Rove, but his ability to win campaigns is beyond dispute.
