Could Someone Explain. . .

Why anything about Katie Couric is considered major news? Nude Yoga? Love the nude woman stretching.

Danni Wells. Danni Wells. Danni Wells. Danni Wells. Danni Wells. Danni Wells. Danni Wells. Danni Wells. Danni Wells. Danni Wells. Danni Wells. Danni Wells.

Maybe because they have fond memories of her live colonoscopy on television.

she's now the first female evening news anchor. you don't think that's worthy of attention?

Well, since evening news is of severely diminished importance in today's age, no, I don't think it's that big of a deal. Female news anchors are all over the place on cable news networks.

This is CBS Evening News. Give us 30 minutes, we'll give you... 11 minutes of commercials.

Is it fair to call her the first Female News Anchor? Doesn't that honor go to Barbara Walters? She was an Anchor on ABC in the Seventies. And Connie Chung was briefly a co-anchor with Dan Rather.

I think the thing is first solo female anchor...Anyway I like to think the story is about the naming of a new netwerk anchor, not about Katy Curic, but I am just kidding myself. More likely we will look back on this as the symbolic moment in time when the possition netwerk anchor finally lost its mystique.

Walter Cronkite has never been more missed.

Or maybe it's because the MSM has to pay their dues to other member so the MSM. Or maybe it's because the general playbook for the MSM is to find one issue and hammer it to death (Natalie Holloway comes to mind...boy would I love to be the Fox reporter covering that story in Aruba! regurgitate the same story with the same interviews every day for months! nice...)

whatever the reason Couric is getting all of the attention, one thing is for sure: I don't care.

Damnit, Rhodes, I come here looking for answers, not questions that I cannot answer!

I do not know why the world was so rapt with this change of venue.

But I did hear that Matt Lauer cried for a good twenty minutes when he heard the news. By the way, Matt Lauer is one of the worst interviewers I've ever seen.

But then, I don't watch Good Morning America or CBS Evening News.

I thought it was KD Couric and Katie Lange. Aren't they twin sisters?
