Feeling Blog Old

You know, I've seen my share of regular blog reads go the way of 60 grit sandpaper condoms. Even my blog-mother, Jen, hung up her blogging hat long ago. I understand why; blogging's not for everyone, and for every 10,000 or so curious blog tourists, maybe about 100 or so stick around for any mentionable amount of time, according to my entirely own made up guesstimate.

blogging takes work, time, a moderate amount of creativity, the capability to put up with continual trollish criticism, a complete lack of revenue (for most) and a stick-to-it-iveness that would make ants envious.

All that said, I feel all sorts of blog old now that my blog has outlived A Small Victory.

To liven myself up, I'll think about Andrea Rincon. Andrea Rincon. Andrea Rincon. Andrea Rincon. Andrea Rincon. Andrea Rincon. Andrea Rincon. Andrea Rincon. Andrea Rincon. Andrea Rincon. Andrea Rincon. Andrea Rincon. Andrea Rincon.

Dark Knight. Heath Ledger. Batman. The Joker. Dark Knight. Heath Ledger. Batman. The Joker. Dark Knight. Heath Ledger. Batman. The Joker.

I miss her already myself.

You think you've got it bad?

My blog "mother" turned out to be a middle aged asshole pretending to be a hot lesbian chick with bad teeth and an insatiable appetite for techno.

I hadn't been by Michelle's in a while (some of her commenters were quite, um, aggressive) but I always enjoyed my visits there. Its a sad day when a prominent blogger hangs'em up.

Speaking of complete lack of revenue, check out my latest!

Revenue?

People get revenue from this?

I do it for fun.

But sometimes I don't get that either.

I never realized this, but my blog is only 4 months younger than yours. Damn, now you make me feel old.

I know what you mean, I couldn't believe it when I saw it.
At least she's not going away completely, that's good.

I don't have a strong opinion one way or the other, exept that I don't believe her. Just don't. Compulsive bloggers can't stop. She may be getting what she needs from Command Post, but I just don't believe she'll actually stop blogging altogether.

My blogging mom is Sonya Lorelle Walker, who has also been writing less lately than she used to. I'm hoping she'll get back in the game after she graduates from college, but that's a ways off.

Well, it's about time someone felt older than me.

Thanks for hanging around ASV, Ryan. Having you there in the comments made it a lot of fun.

I hope you're not hanging your hat up. I like coming by here. Besides I have 3 or 4 linked bloggers who are now defunct and I don't want to make it 5 or 6, especially if I enjoy going there.
