I Got Nuthin'

I don't think this is writer's block so much as it is writer's depletion. This week has drained me of everything. Putting up with one of the more monumental A-holes within IBM will do that to you.

I am always aware, at least just a little bit, that there are plenty of assholes in the world, but this week was a jarring reminder of just how close those assholes actually are.

Dealing with assholes is one of the most draining exercises in the world. They think they're right, about everything, even when they're wrong, about everything, and they're not afraid to be extreme jerks about everything. There's a part of them that actually takes glee in being social pricks.

As such, I have nothing to offer. I'm drained. I got nuthin'.

Maybe something will come to me later, but I doubt it.

UPDATE: Yes, I'm aware that I fit many of my own criteria about what an asshole is. However, I like to think of myself as a minor asshole. Carry on.

I don't know, Ryan, we have all seen your naked buttocks and ass. I wouldn't call you a major asshole though.

I think of you more as the shit stirrer or maybe just a contrarian.

But I still like you.

Hey, how are you liking MuNu? Jim wants to convert me as well.

Johnny, I'm digging my new MuNu site immensely but, given that my Blogspot site was so limiting, I may not be the best person to ask. I love that MuNu allows me to post pictures, and that there's a search engine, and THAT IT'S FREE!

Yeah yeah. I offered him a spot over at Noematic, but nooooooo. No, he's too good to come over to Noematic. Just because all the other Noematic bloggers are chicks, and it's run by a frothing liberal. But he just digs his NuMu site. Isn't that precious.

It's okay. My feelings aren't hurt. Nope.

Quick, call Joshua a WAAAAHmbulance.

Actually, Joshua, when you first offered, I was in the process of trying to turn one of my old computers into a Web server of my own, but I gradually came to realize I didn't know what the fuck I was doing. The MuNu offer just happened to come about at a very convenient time, when I was giving up on my server idea. Nothing personal, you see, and you can chase all the noematic chicks over to my site all you wish. I don't mind that you're a frothing liberal. You've given me much to ponder since dropping by my little corner of the Web. I don't agree with 95 percent of it, but I do ponder it.
